State government has 70,673 employees and Wisconsin's state budget is estimated to be $2.5 billion in the hole under GAAP guidelines.

You and I live within our means and so should state government. I believe in fiscal responsibility and discipline in Wisconsin's budget process and will vote no to any continued increases in the state expenditures beyond basic service needs. We can no longer afford increases beyond the rate of inflation, nor can we afford to create programs after programs that just compound the problem.
